DataEase Has Migrated to Shopify App React Router

We’re excited to share a major technical upgrade that improves how our Shopify app works behind the scenes.

What’s new:

  • Migrated to @shopify/shopify-app-react-router — the new recommended package for building Shopify apps.
  • Faster and smoother navigation thanks to client-side routing optimized for embedded apps.
  • Improved stability with Shopify’s latest standards for authentication and App Bridge integration.
  • Future-ready architecture aligned with Shopify’s long-term direction.

Shopify encourages developers to move to this package, and we’re already seeing the benefits: simpler routing, fewer reloads, and a more responsive UI inside the Shopify Admin.

Why we upgraded

The previous @shopify/shopify-app-remix package served us well, but Shopify now recommends switching to the new React Router–based architecture.

This migration ensures: • Better performance for larger exports • Faster access to views inside the app • A smoother embedded experience for all merchants

What this means for you

Everything will feel just a bit faster and more fluid — especially when navigating between exports, history, and settings. No action is required on your side.

Behind the scenes

We followed Shopify’s official migration guide to ensure full compatibility with authentication, App Bridge, and API calls. The upgrade also makes it easier for us to ship new features without waiting on page reloads.
